P.gingivalis can reactivate HIV- 1 Virus! A very very new finding in Perio Medicine!
Researchers in Japan has found a striking link between Periodontopathic microorganisms and HIV-1 Reactivation! This is the newest door that is being opened in the field of Perio medicine!
The high concentration of butyric acid from P.gingivalis acts as the inducer for reactivation of latent HIV-1.
May be a Perio Craze reader can do a further research throwing a much better light on this isssue!
